Background
Our approach is to produce a modern wine with high-quality
local grapes that caters to the taste of the contemporary Chinese consumer. We
are currently relying on whatever best is available in Wuwei. Our new vineyards
near Maijishan will further add on to this effort to promote the growth of
premium wine made in China.
背景
我们的目标是采用当地高品质的葡萄酿造迎合当代中国消费者口味的现代葡萄酒。我们十分信赖武威任何可利用的最好资源。我们新建立的葡萄园靠近麦积山,相信能为推动中国顶级葡萄酒的发展贡献一份力量。
Winemaking style
Both these wines are distinghuished by their long and rich
finish. The use of oak is moderate enough just to highlight the elegant quality
of fruit rather than mask it, as it is often the case even among expensive
Chinese wines. They are more akin to an Old-World style from a mountainous
viticultural zone, where the fruit is subtle, but unique and the taste is
unforgettable, but not overpowering. Our approach is based on careful batch
selection and blending, ageing in French and American oak casks, and minimal
processing to maintain purity of taste. Furthermore, lots of little
improvements and innovations throughout the winemaking process (e.g.
top-quality TCA-free corks imported direclty from Portugal) are reflected in
the final product.
酿酒风格
两款酒回味悠长浓郁。橡木桶的合理使用突出了葡萄精美的质量而非掩盖。在多山地区种植葡萄更像是旧世界的风格,雅致但很特别,口感令人难忘,但不过分。我们的方法是对每批葡萄精挑细选,仔细混合,在法国和美国橡木桶内陈酿,采用极微加工以保留纯净的口感。将来,在产品中还能反应出很多细小的改进和酿酒工艺中的改革。(比如从葡萄牙直接进口顶级质量的不含TCA的瓶塞)
Vintage report
The 2009 vintage is the first release of these two wines. The
growing and in particular the harvest season was particularly favorable up in
Wuwei to give high maturity levels and relatively high yields. These wines are
made to be consumed young and do not require extensive aging.
年份报告
2009年份是这两款酒的处女之作。该年武威葡萄的种植特别是收获对成熟度和高产量都特别有利。这两款酒可在酒体年轻时饮用,无需陈酿。
